Van Vicker the notable Ghanaian actor whose acting prowess is not limited to the Ghanaian audience but spreads across internationally, takes up a new role to change the world. While some were wondering if he deserves the name he’s been given ‘the actor with a heart of gold’ for his role in helping to alleviate the pain of the Haitian earthquake victims, he seem to have silenced all criticisms as he takes up a Goodwill Ambassadorial role with United Nations High Commissions for Refugees.
UNHCR the two time Nobel Peace Prize award winning organization is created for the purpose of providing international legal protection for refugees and finding lasting solutions for their problems, which often include homelessness, sickness or other medical disorders and mental trauma on a purely social, humanitarian and non political basis. Speaking on this partnership the UNHCR representative Ewurabena Hutchful says his hopes are high that this unison will surely help in changing the world.
As for Van he said ‘it was with great enthusiasm and excitement that I endorsed the UNHCR proposal for me to serve as a Goodwill Ambassador because helping people out is something I love to do’.
Van Vicker is no doubt an individual sold out to service to humanity; his various humanitarian activities is proof of this.
