SHORTLY after a trip to Ghana to open up relationships with that country, meeting with the Nigerian Ambassador as well as officials of their youth ministry, organisers of The Future Awards (under The Future Project, Nigeria) went one step further – and opened up a relationship with the office of the British High Commissioner to Nigeria.
The meeting, which held at the High Commissioner, Bob Dewar’s Ikoyi, Lagos, residence , had winners including Cobhams Asuquo (Music Producer of the Year), Mosunmola Umoru (Business Owner of the Year) Uche Nnaji (Style Entrepreneur of the Year), Bamidele Odufuye (Best Use of Technology), Dr. Adedayo Osholowu (Professional of the Year), and Funke Adetutu (Journalist of the Year) in attendance. There was also Adebola Williams, its Operations Director; Emilia Asim-Ita, its PR Director; and Chude Jideonwo, its Creative Director, alongside its Communications Coordinator, Eyitayo Aiyejumoh.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Pat Utomi, who joined the breakfast meeting briefly, began the visit by introducing The Future Project, Nigeria to the High Commissioner.
“Over the years, the work that they have done has won my confidence, has impressed me, and I am proud to be associated with such a success story,” he said.
